Chain restaurants (15 or more locations nationwide) must post calorie information on menus and menu boards, formatted to the rules — clear font size, and proper handling of combination meals, flavor varieties, and add-on toppings. It's a non-scored nutrition item (0 grade points) but still citable. Common slip-ups are missing calories on a board, a font that's too small, or not showing the calorie range for items that come in multiple varieties. Independent (non-chain) restaurants generally aren't covered.
